The Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh is offering an opera-themed stay in the city including a visit to the Saigon Opera House. The French-designed opera house is 115 years old and guests at the hotel get to stay in the Caravelle’s Opera Suite as part of the new three-night package. The Caravelle’s ‘Opera Nights’ package includes the stay in the 119 sq metre suite, overlooking Lam Son Square and the Saigon Opera House, an evening performance of hour-long production Hon Viet, or Soul of Vietnam and dinner with L’Opera menus in the Reflections restaurant.
The stay also includes a 150-minute Relaxation Spa Package for two at the Caravelle’s new Kara Salon & Spa and other Opera Suite benefits such as complimentary cocktails and canapes at the Signature Lounge. The Opera Nights package - which also includes breakfast - runs until May (three-night stays covering the 14 or 23 of each month) and costs (approx) £1,700. The 800-seat Saigon Opera House was designed to mimic France’s Petit Palais, opened in the same year.
