Phi Phi Island - Maya Beach

That beach, Ko Phi Phi, is no longer a secret. Located in the south of Thailand, about 50 kilometers from Phuket, Ko Phi-Phi is actually a group of six small islands.Phi Phi Island is high on the list of things to do to when in Phuket. Most tourists want to see Maya Bay at least ones in their lifetime. Therefore it can at times be somewhat crowded when in middle of the day (10am-2pm) boatloads of day trippers from Phuket and Krabi arrive for snorkeling in the bay and relaxing on the famous beach.

Phi Phi Island - Thailand

The Phi Phi Islands are located in Thailand, between the larger island of Phuket and the mainland. They are politically part of Krabi province, most of which is on the mainland.
Phi Phi Don is the largest island of the group, and is the only island with permanent inhabitants, although the beaches of the second largest island, Phi Phi Lee are visited by many people as well. There are no accommodation facilities on this island, but it is just a short boat ride from Phi Phi Don. The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok, Bida Noi, and Bamboo Island, are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea.
