The Grand Canyon: An Amazing Landscape

The Grand Canyon is a powerful and inspiring landscape. It overwhelms our senses through its immense size. It is extremely huge. The Grand Canyon is 446km long, up to 29km wide, and 1.6km deep. It is one of the geological wonders of the world. Nearly 5,000,000 people see the Grand Canyon each year.



The South Rim is the most accessible part of the Grand Canyon and is 2134m above the sea level on an average. Most people see Grand Canyon from along the South Rim.





The North Rim, on the other hand, is much less accessible and is 2438m above the sea level on an average. A much smaller number of people see the Canyon from the North Rim though it rises 305m higher than the South Rim.
